YOUNGSTOWN

Free flu shots will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. today to the first 90 Mahoning County adult residents to arrive at the Youngstown office of the Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership, 1325 Fifth Ave. A registered pharmacist from the Walgreens on Belmont Avenue in Youngstown will administer the shots.

“Our home office provided 90 additional vouchers so we could provide this potentially life-saving service,” said Mike Ziccardi, Belmont Avenue Walgreens manager.

People do not need to make an appointment ahead of time, but they should bring the necessary documentation so they are able to move through the process more quickly.

This includes proof of identification, such as a driver’s license or birth certificate, and private insurance card or public insurance card, such as the Ohio Medicaid or Medicare card.

Thefts investigated

BOARDMAN

Township police are investigating two separate thefts from Babies ‘R’ Us on Doral Drive.

Police were called to the store about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a theft.

The assistant store manager told police a man in his 30s came into the store and concealed multiple items totaling $250.

The sensors went off as the suspect left the store. Surveillance video was given to the police.

Police were called to the store again at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday for a theft report.

The assistant manager told police three women entered the store and took a pair of baby booties, pants set and a shirt set.

Night of music, arts

YOUNGSTOWN

Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Youngstown and Vicinity will host a clergy and ministers’ night of music and arts celebration at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1812 Oakhill Ave.

The IMA also will accept canned goods and non-perishable items that will be used for the ministry of Protestant Family Services.

Suffragan Bishop C. Shawn and Krista Tyson are hosts; Elder Cynthia Wright Palmer, program chairwoman; and the and Rev. Lewis Macklin, IMA President.

Holiday art show

WARREN

The Independent Artist Association will have a holiday show 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Hippodrome, 150 High St. NE.

It will feature original artwork, including painting, photography and glassware, by more than 15 Mahoning Valley artists from locations such as Warren, Niles, Youngstown, Poland and Canfield. It also features music by DJ Michael Thomas, an auction with more than a dozen original pieces, and a burlesque performance. Admission will be $5 and includes beverages.
