Bountiful Harvest

When: Today, 1 to 2 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon.

What: Preschoolers age 3-5 and a caregiver can learn about a few of the vegetables and fruits harvested and eaten at the first Thanksgiving and create a cornucopia using some of those foods. Snack and story included.

Fee: $8; FFRG member $6.

Breakfast Botany

When: Friday, 8:30 to 10 a.m.

What: Start your morning with a brisk walk to see plants growing at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Return to the Garden Cafe to enjoy a light breakfast and hear facts about arborvitae.

Fee: $9, FFRG member, $7.

Pollinator Certification

When: Monday, 7-9 p.m.

What: From bees to native insects, learn to attract pollinators to your garden or farm.

Where: Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road (state Route 46), Canfield.

Audubon Society/ Mahoning Valley

When: Nov. 26, 6:30 to 9 p.m.

What: “Birds in Flight” is our local licensed bird rehabilitation center. Director Heather Merritt will share what it takes to bring birds back to good health after they have an accident.

Where: MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Old Fashioned Christmas at the Mill

When: Nov. 30, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What: Bring the family to Lanterman’s Mill for this holiday tradition with musicians and other fine performers. Artisans such as a potter, tinsmith and woodcarver demonstrate their crafts. Enjoy roasted chestnuts, a visit with Santa, and more.

Walk with a Naturalist

When: Dec. 1, 2 p.m.

What: Leisurely walk with a naturalist to enjoy and explore the Nature Center’s trails. Wear sturdy shoes. Cameras and binoculars encouraged.
