Possible gas leak causes evacuation of Girard High School

GIRARD

Girard High School was evacuated this morning as a precaution because of a possible gas leak. A Dominion East Ohio gas worker said the city fire department is in the building investigating. It’s not certain if there is a leak.

Students were evacuated after someone noticed a gas smell. They were taken to a nearby church. Parents will be notified if there’s a need to send them home, a school official said.
