ODNR says state's mineral resources produced more than $2.7B last year


COLUMBUS — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources reported the state’s mineral resources produced more than $2.7 billion in geological commodities last year.

Ohio’s natural-gas production increased 18.4 percent. Production of oil, limestone, sand and gravel also spiked, according to ODNR.

For the fifth consecutive year, Ohio’s coal-production value topped $1 billion.
