THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Boardman, will serve beef tips and noodles dinners from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal is takeout only for $7. FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. There will be no sales Nov. 29.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. The next sale will be Dec. 6.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Road SW, Newton Falls, will serve a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts will be available.

SUNDAY

Girard Boy Scout Troop 40, chartered by St. Rose Church, will host its 14th annual turkey dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Girard, 22 N. Market St. Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. Takeout will be available.

Kennedy Catholic High School’s Student Council will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 2120 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, Pa. The cost is $7, and carryouts will be available. The event will include a basket auction and bake sale. Reservations are not required but tickets can be purchased in advance at the school from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday. For information call 724-866-2465.

Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the social hall. The cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under. Extra meatballs and pop or bottled water are 50 cents each. Takeouts are available. Quarts of chicken-noodle and wedding soups and vanilla and anise pizzelles will be sold.

St. Rose Catholic Women’s Club will sponsor a bake sale and a morning of fellowship after all Sunday Masses at the church, 48 E Main St., Girard. There will be free coffee and donuts provided by CWC. All proceeds benefit St. Rose Church.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Apostles Parish of Sts. Peter and Paul worship site, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, is taking orders for five types of kielbasa by the pound. The choices are Croatian, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Slovene. The cost is $6.99 per pound; call 330-793-1390 or 330-629-2695. The deadline is Sunday, and pickup is Dec. 17.

St. John the Baptist Cultural Society is sponsoring a velija dinner from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8 at Christ the Good Shepherd at St. John the Baptist Church hall, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. Appetizers from 3 to 4 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 4. Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased in advance by calling Mariann Pacak at 330-755-1979 by Dec. 1.
