“LincolnGettysburg” (9 p.m., PBS): Put down your smart phones and check out “LincolnGettysburg.” It’s a documentary that explores how Abraham Lincoln was the first world leader to use telegraphs to communicate electronically in real time with generals engaged in war.

“David Blaine: REAL OR MAGIC” (9:30 ABC): This new special has the magician performing for a few celebrities in their homes. That has us wondering if he might be able to make some celebs disappear for good.

“Frontline: WHO WAS LEE HARVEY OSWALD?” (10 P.M., PBS): This special examines the life of the JFK assassin and attempts to determine whether he acted alone, was part of a conspiracy or a fall guy.

Evening of music with Silencio

YOUNGSTOWN

The Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., will host an evening with the band Silencio at 9 p.m. Saturday.

The six-piece Pittsburgh band plays music inspired by the works of David Lynch and Angelo Badalmenti, combining jazz, lounge and ambient space rock in a mesmerizing show that includes a classic film-noir audio-visual presentation. The group glides between original material and the quirky, spooky jazz from the films “Twin Peaks,” “Blue Velvet” and “Eraserhead.”

During the intermission, Tribe of Eos belly dance troupe will perform. The evening also will include an art show featuring works by Chris Yambar, Jim Pernotto and other select Youngstown artists. Tickets are $10 for this bring-your-own-bottle show. Reservations are encouraged. Call 330-774-4935.

Poland Players present comedy
