Man in surgery after South Side shooting

YOUNGSTOWN

A man is in surgery after being shot about 6:10 a.m. on the South Side.

Police were called to South and Boston avenues for a man who was shot, and the man told police he was shot somewhere outside, said Capt. Brad Blackburn, head of the detective bureau.

A home on East Boston Avenue was searched as part of the investigation.

Blackburn did not have a name for the man.
