Woman fatally shot at Union Township, Pa. Wal-mart

NEW CASTLE, PA.

State police are investigating as a homicide the death of a Wal-Mart Supercenter employee, who was fatally shot as she was leaving work Sunday evening. Mariah Jai Anderson, 22, of East Sharp Street, New Castle, was shot at 11:15 p.m. as she sat in her vehicle in the Union Township store’s parking lot, state police said. Rich Johnson, deputy Lawrence County coroner, pronounced Anderson dead at Jameson Memorial Hospital shortly after she was shot. Details are sketchy, police said, asking anyone with information about the shooting to call them at (724) 598-2211.
