‘Christmas Carol’ musical at theater

NEW CASTLE, PA.

“A Christmas Carol: The Musical,” directed by Lester Malazia, will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave., and run for nine performances over three consecutive weekends. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m.

The Broadway musical is a retelling of the classic Christmas tale of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Tickets are $15 ($12 for seniors and students, $10 for children under 12).
