Burglars hit Boardman home while owners vacationed

A husband and wife returned from vacation to find multiple items missing from their Boardman home.

Boardman police were called to Yellow Creek Drive on Friday for the burglary.

Upon arrival, police found multiple areas of the home disturbed. A crime scene technician was called to investigate.

The homeowners were gone for five days and made sure all of the doors and windows were secure before leaving, but a key needed for emergencies was hidden outside of the residence. Police believe the hidden key was used in the burglary since there were no signs of forced entry.

An estimated $3,750 in items were taken from the home. Multiple pieces of jewelry, a computer monitor and tower, a printer and a flat-screen television.

No arrests have been made.
