A Fall Fun Festival was offered at Cardinal Mooney High School Oct. 27.

The event was for Cardinal Mooney families and those from Mooney’s “feeder parishes.”

Erin Duble and her three children, Samantha, Landon and Mia, participated. The children attend St. Charles School in Boardman.

Landon said they came “to have fun.”

“We listened to a story,” Samantha said.

The children also ate hot dogs and watched pumpkins be catapulted. They’ve never seen that done before, they said.

The event is nice, Erin said.

“It’s a nice thing to put on for kids,” she said.

The event included face painting, crafts, “fishing” for apples, corn hole, cupcakes and cider. Many children wore Halloween costumes. Cardinal Mooney teachers helped out with the event.

This is the first year for the festival. It was initiated by the school’s strategic planning committee to strengthen the bond between Mooney and the feeder parishes that support it. Music was provided by Markie V during a Monster Music Jam.
