YOUNGSTOWN

Elliott Stewart, 25, of Maywood Drive in Boardman, was shot to death at 5:30 p.m. Friday outside his family’s detailing shop, Breeze Car Waxing, 3628 Southern Blvd.

His brother, Elliott Stewart, 26, was also shot in the lower body but is expected to survive, Youngstown police said. It appeared he was shot once.

The shootings stemmed from an argument at the shop during which Elliott Stewart “asked them to leave, someone took offense, words were exchanged and shots were fired,” said Det. Sgt. Ron Rodway.

The Stewarts went to St. Elizabeth Health Center in a private vehicle, and police arrived at the shooting scene about 15 minutes later.

Police have a person of interest in the case, but no arrest had been made as of Friday evening.

Breeze Car Waxing is at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and East Judson Avenue on the South Side, a couple blocks north of the Boardman line.

The mother of Elliott and Derrick Stewart owns the shop, police said.
