Sign-up is Saturday for Mahoning County Homesafe program

AUSTINTOWN — People interested in signing up for the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office Homesafe program can do so from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive.

The program is a database used by law enforcement personnel only and operated by the sheriff’s office to be used in case an elderly person or other at-risk citizens, such as autistic children or people suffering from developmental disabilities, go missing.

Forms will be available to be filled out and there will also be activities and crafts for children and refreshments.
