Children’s Nature Hour
What: Scat? What’s That?
When: Friday, 10 a.m. to noon.
Details: Everything, including animal droppings, has a place in nature. Kids age 3–6 will have fun learning about this silly subject.

Birding the Sanctuary
When: Saturday, 8 to 10 a.m.
What: Jeff Harvey of Wild Birds Unlimited will lead a walk at Mill Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, a 264-acre park district property closed to the public.
Details: Because of parking limitations, reservations must be made. Call Ford Nature Center at 330-740-7107 by 5 p.m. Friday. No walk-ins will be permitted.
Project FeederWatch
When: Sunday, 2 p.m.
What: This winterlong survey of birds that visit bird feeders in North America provides data that help scientists track broadscale movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance. Participate at the Nature Center or at home.

Bountiful Harvest
When: Nov. 21, 1 to 2 p.m.; Nov. 23, 11 a.m. to noon.
What: Preschoolers age 3-5 and a caregiver can learn about a few of the vegetables and fruits harvested and eaten at the first Thanksgiving and create a cornucopia using some of those foods. Snack and story included.
Fee: $8; FFRG member $6.

Breakfast Botany
When: Nov. 22, 8:30 to 10 a.m.
What: Start your morning with a brisk walk to see plants growing at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Return to the Garden Cafe to enjoy a light breakfast and hear interesting facts about arborvitae.
