Lisha Pompili-Baumiller, 3rd Ward Hubbard City Council member for the past 14 years, has announced that she will seek the job of Trumbull County commissioner in next spring’s Democratic Party primary against incumbent Frank Fuda.
Pompili-Baumiller, chairwoman of council’s economic-development and downtown-revitalization committees, is manager of the consumer division of LMS Services of Warren, a collection company, and also worked 14 years in collections for Bank One.
She will have a kickoff dinner and wine and wreath event at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa., on Nov. 23.
“I can watch the [county’s] money because that’s what I do” professionally, she said. “I believe Trumbull County deserves a candidate with fresh ideas and a business background. Trumbull County deserves to have someone who will stand up and speak out for them.”
Pompili-Baumiller said some county projects take too long, such as the Kinsman Township sewer project for which a celebration took place Wednesday.
Fuda, of Niles, announced Tuesday he would seek re-election to a third term.
