Decision expected next month for Youngstown Health Dept. administrator

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Board of Health today interviewed three finalists for the position of department administrator, but took no official action.

The board is expected to announce a decision at its the next meeting Dec. 2, said city Law Director Anthony Farris, who sat in on the interviews.

Candidates interviewed were Erin Bishop, acting health commissioner since February 2011; Felicia Alexander, director of the Youngstown Office of Minority Health since 2008; and Dr. Joshua Morton of Niles, field-event manager for Health Fitness Corp. since 2009.

The board received six applications for the position and reduced the number of candidates to three at its October meeting.
