Warren police investigate weekend shootings, stabbing, robberies

In addition to a shooting Saturday evening outside a drive-through at the corner of Palmyra and Parkman Roads Southwest, Warren police also investigated a stabbing, two robberies and a dog shooting.

A Warren police report says the 22-year-old man shot in the shoulder blade at 5:58 p.m. Saturday lives on Valacamp Avenue Southeast and was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

In another incident, police were called to St. Joseph Health Center at 9:31 p.m. Monday for a 26-year-old Mayfield Heights man who said he’d been stabbed during a robbery of $15 in cash. He had minor injuries and wouldn’t tell police other information.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, a 25-year-old man was robbed by two unidentified men who entered the front door of his home in the 2000 block of Youngstown Road Southeast and brandished pistols. The men threatened to shoot him and took two pistols valued at $800, a credit card and $2,350 in cash, then fled in a black Nissan Maxima.

At noon Sunday, a 22-year-old Mineral Ridge woman and 24-year-old Warren man reported being robbed of their cellphones at the Stonegate Apartments on Robert Avenue Northwest by two men wearing bandannas on their faces. The suspects fled on foot.

At 11:54 a.m. Saturday, a 28-year-old Stephens Avenue Northwest man reported that an unidentified man shot his dog in the leg at the man’s home.
