Boardman police arrest Kent woman on theft warrants

BOARDMAN — Township police arrested a woman from Kent on Tuesday on two theft warrants.

Lisa Ann Richardson, 49, of Akron Boulevard, is accused of stealing a $499 margarita maker from Kohl's department store Sept. 9.

A store loss-prevention officer told police he followed Richardson into the parking lot and told her to return the mixer, when she declined he took the mixer from her, according to a police report.

Richardson is also accused of stealing two Leapster tablets from Walmart on Sept. 10.

The store loss-prevention officer was able to provide a license plate number of the vehicle Richardson left in.

Boardman police were dispatched to Portage County Jail to pick up Richardson on Tuesday.

She is now in Mahoning County jail awaiting her court date at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Mahoning County Area Court here.
