Warren woman dies in Mesopotamia traffic accident

MESOPOTAMIA — Brandi L. Miller, 26, of Robert Avenue in Warren, died in a two-car crash at 7:15 a.m. today on state Route 87 west of state Route 534.

Miller was eastbound on Route 87 in a Pontiac Grand Am when she lost control and slid left of center into the path of a westbound Dodge Caravan driven by Katrina L. Port, 32, of Dorset, Ohio.

The Caravan collided with the passenger side of the Grand Am. Port was taken to the Geauga Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident, and both drivers were wearing seat belts, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Unsafe speed for road conditions appears to be a factor, the patrol said. The crash remains under investigation.
