SPCA seeks 2 who set cat on fire in Pa.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is offering a $2,000 reward for information about two men who set a cat on fire in Philadelphia.

According to the SPCA, a witness overheard one of the men saying, “I put a lot of fluid on it” after seeing the cat running past in flames. That happened just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the city’s Olney section.

The cat was being treated Monday for burns at the PSCPA shelter hospital.

The cat had an embedded microchip that identified its owners as a family who lived several blocks away. They had reported the cat missing in the late summer.
