Man held on $500K bond for stabbing in Sharon hospital

SHARON, PA.
Justin Michael Delfratte, 30, of Sharpsville was in Mercer County Jail late Monday on $500,000 bond in connection with Sunday’s stabbing of a greeter at Sharon Regional Health System’s hospital.
Delfratte, arraigned Sunday evening, is charged with attempted criminal homicide in the stabbing of Linda Clark of Hubbard in the neck at 2:23 p.m. while she was at work in the emergency department. The suspect was apprehended by hospital security personnel.
Clark was treated in the hospital’s emergency room and then had surgery Sunday night at Sharon Regional when she was listed in critical condition.
At 8:15 p.m. Sunday, she was transferred by Lifeflight helicopter to the trauma unit at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was listed in critical condition as of Monday morning, according to a Sharon Regional statement.
Police said the stabbing occurred after Delfratte was discharged from the emergency room, where he was refused narcotics medication.
