Incident involves 2 women, altercation

Police here have referred a Sunday afternoon incident involving two women in cars on Youngstown Road near Eastwood Mall to the city prosecutor.

The victim said a woman who dates the father of her child chased her through the mall area in a vehicle and cut her off at Youngstown Road near the BP gas station.

It happened at 3:14 p.m. The victim said the other woman got out of her vehicle, opened the victim’s door and started punching the victim in the face. There also was damage to the victim’s car door because the suspect backed into the driver’s door while it was open.

A witness backed up the victim’s account, police said.

Today is last day to take Greenway poll

CORTLAND

Today is the last day to take the community survey for the Mosquito Lake Greenway project.

As of Sunday, there were 499 responses, and final results will be released today along with a press release containing findings of the survey, organizers say. The survey is available at www.surveymonkey.com/s/K8FGYFV.

The Mosquito Lake Greenway Project proposes to encircle the southern part of Mosquito Lake with a greenway to be used by pedestrians and bicyclists. Plans include connecting to the Western Reserve Greenway a few miles to the west.

Zoning panel to meet

ELLSWORTH

Ellsworth Township Zoning Commission will have a regular meeting at 6 p.m. today in the township administration building on state Route 45.
