Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church hosts genealogy workshop

YOUNGSTOWN — Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 421 Covington St., will host a genealogy workshop for beginners entitled “Where is Uncle Felix? Finding Our Allusive Ancestors” with genealogist Robert Jerin from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Jerin has conducted workshops throughout the United States and Europe. He has led heritage and history tours to many countries.

During the presentation, Jerin will help participants to find how their families came to America and where they originated; if the name of ancestors were changed at Ellis Island in New York; and he will show examples of original documents and teach people how to research them using modern methods.

A donation of $20 is encouraged at the door. All are welcome.
