Niles prosecutor gets case involving two women in dispute near Eastwood Mall

NILES — Police here have referred a Sunday-afternoon incident involving two women in cars on Youngstown Road near the Eastwood Mall to the city prosecutor.

The victim said a woman who dates the father of her child chased her through the mall area in a vehicle and cut her off at Youngstown Road near the BP gas station.

It happened at 3:14 p.m. The victim said the other woman got out of her vehicle, opened the victim’s door and started punching the victim in the face. There also was damage to the victim’s car door because the suspect backed into the driver’s door while it was open.

A witness backed up the victim’s account, police said.
