Donations sought to help typhoon victims in Philippines
YOUNGSTOWN — The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, Office of Social Action/Catholic Relief Services, is accepting monetary donations for emergency relief and long-term development related to the recent devastation experienced in the Philippines and the surrounding region because of Typhoon Haiyan.
Catholic Relief Services, the official overseas emergency relief and development agency, continues to work with local church-related institutions to provide emergency shelter, water and sanitation, household relief items (blankets, kitchen items, cookware), potable water and toilets.
To donate online, visit ccdoy.org/social-action/disaster-relief-efforts or to donate by mail, make check payable to Catholic Relief Services, Diocese of Youngstown (memo line: Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund) and mail to Diocese of Youngstown, Office of Social Action/CRS, Attn: “Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund” 144 W. Wood Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44503.
