The Youngstown State football team leads Northern Iowa 7-3 after the first quarter of Saturday's game at the UNI-Dome.

After giving up a 47-yard field goal on the opening drive, the Penguins took a 7-3 lead on a 3-yard TD run by QB Kurt Hess.
