OVI checkpoint tonight, saturdation patrols all weekend in Mahoning County

YOUNGSTOWN

A federally-funded drunk driving checkpoint is operating on Glenwood Avenue in the city and will continue until midnight, the Mahoning County OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) Task Force and the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced in a news release.

The checkpoint is being accompanied by nearby saturation patrols to intercept impaired drivers and prevent alcohol-related crashes, injuries and fatalities.

The task force also said it would be conducting saturation patrols in various Mahoning County locations this weekend.
