Masked men get cash from Mahoning Avenue store

YOUNGSTOWN

Two armed, masked men got away with cash from the register at a 2725 Mahoning Ave. store about 11:10 p.m. Thursday.

An employee told police two men came inside, pointed a gun at him and demanded money before running away on South Schenley Avenue towards St. Mary’s Cemetery. A police dog from Austintown was called in to track the suspects but they could not be found.

Police do have video surveillance of the robbery and are examining it.
