Man who passed out faces drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN

A Girard man is expected to be arraigned on drug charges in Municipal Court this afternoon after police found heroin and syringes after he passed out in the laundry room of a 2639 Tyrell St. apartment on the West Side just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Police were called for a report of a man on the floor and when they arrived they found Leo Petrosky, 36, being treated by paramedics. Reports said Petrosky told police he had only taken medication before he passed out.

Officers found a small chunk of suspected heroin on top of a washer and 10 syringes inside Petrosky’s coat, reports said. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment and was placed in the Mahoning County jail afterwards.
