International software company acquires Canfield office

CANFIELD — Notify Technologies, which is headquartered in California, but operates a product development and technical support center in Canfield, has been acquired by Globo, an international mobility management and telecom software company, for $5 million.

Notify is a mobile-technology company that specializes in wireless mobility solutions and services. Its 60 employees are divided among its sales, marketing and finance personnel in San Jose, California and its support center in Canfield.

Globo, which has offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, will now transfer Notify employees to the offices of its U.S. subsidiary.

Specific details about the transfer were not provided today.

Notify offers business-mobility solutions, such as mobile-data management, data-loss prevention and BlackBerry-device management.
