Valley native’s film at festival

“Midnight,” a film by Canfield-area native Vanessa E. Harris, will be screened as part of the Ohio Independent Film Festival at 4 p.m. Sunday at Atlas Cinemas.

Harris moved to Los Angeles in 1989, where she studied film. She works at an entertainment law firm and also has been making films for more than 10 years. “Midnight” is a sci-fi thriller, shot in grainy black and white.
