Rub-a-dub-dub ABC’s
When: Saturday, 1-4 p.m.
What: Soap Maven Barbara Lyons guides participants to create melt-and-pour soaps, balms and other economically friendly gifts. Everyone will receive free bar of her hand-crafted soap, and pre-made samples of whipped shea butter and liquid hand soap.

Gardens in Watercolor: Eternal Spring
When: Through Sunday.
What: International artist Gary Bukovnik returns with his floral watercolor artwork to Weller Gallery. His not-so-still-life paintings express movement of time and space as flowers, leaves and stems appear to move on the paper.

When: Wednesday, 10-11 a.m.
What: Designed for ages 3-5 with an adult companion. Participants will take a guided walk to uncover nature’s wonders.

Botanical Delights: Elderberries
When: Wednesday, 6-7:30 p.m.
What: Elderberry, 2013 herb of the year, is versatile culinary and medicinal plant. Learn the history and folklore surrounding the Elder Tree, savor elderberry delights, and make and take home some immune-supporting elderberry syrup. Instructor: Mandy Smith.

Introduction to Project FeederWatch

What: This winter-long survey of birds that visit bird feeders in North America provides data that helps scientists track broadscale movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance. Participate at the Nature Center or at home.
