Mahoning County Courthouse getting new boilers
YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County commissioners today awarded the $215,302 county courthouse boiler-replacement contract to Antenucci Inc. of Warren, and the $24,900 fourth-floor ceiling repair contract to Murphy Contracting of Youngstown.
Antenucci will remove the 14 boilers that were installed in 1989 and replace them with four high-efficiency boilers.
The work will be staged to ensure that the courthouse will have sufficient heat during the installation and removal process, said James Fortunato, county purchasing director.
Murphy will install a membrane under the boiler area and an alarm to warn of any future leaks and repair the ceiling, he said.
