A Mahoning County grand jury today indicted a man for a homicide on the East Side where a man’s bones were found piecemeal over a period of weeks earlier this year.

Kevon Williams, 22, of Eastern Avenue, is charged with killing David Jackson, 26, who went missing in November and whose remains were found by a man’s dogs in the Sharon Line neighborhood of the East Side in February.

Williams faces counts of murder, abuse of a corpse, felonious assault and tampering with evidence and firearm specifications for the murder and felonious assault charges.

The indictment says that Williams killed Jackson Dec. 1 and shot another man on Dec. 4.

He will be arraigned before Common Pleas Court Judge Maureen Sweeney next week.
