Three arrested after South Side gunfire

YOUNGSTOWN

Police have three people in custody after answering gunfire calls on several South Side streets about 3:10 p.m. today.

Officers answered gunfire calls on East Avondale, East Lucius, Avondale, Detroit and Gibson avenues, a spokesman said.

No one was injured. Taft Elementary School was briefly locked down before the three were caught.

More information is expected later.
