Man facing death penalty pleads not guilty

A North Side man facing the death penalty for an Oct. 14 homicide pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

David Hackett, 51, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Collena Carpenter, 30, whose body was found on an access road off of West Avenue on Oct. 14.
