Election DAy

Today is Election Day. The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Ohio and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Pennsylvania. Please exercise your constitutional right and vote.

VINDY MONUMENTS TOUR

For Veterans Day 2012, The Vindicator worked to create a comprehensive list of soldiers monuments in the Mahoning Valley. ACA program

A program on the basics of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, is offered at Shepherd of the Valley – Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave., at 11:30 a.m. today.

The Ohio outreach specialist for the Healthcare Marketplace and a health insurance specialist from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services will speak on the basics of the Affordable Care Act and the Healthcare Marketplace.

Law Day at YSU

Youngstown State University will host its annual Law Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the Presidential Suite of Kilcawley Center.

Law-school admission representatives from various schools will be available to meet with students. The event is sponsored by the department of political stcience and Rigelhaupt Pre-Law Center at YSU. For information, call the department at 330-941-3436.

Exhibit at museum

The Youngstown Historical Center of History and Labor, 151 W. Wood St., better known as the Steel Museum, is hosting the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street exhibit, Journey Stories, from Wednesday through Dec. 31. A public opening reception is planned for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
