Election stickers in Pa. town anger car owners

WEST YORK, Pa. (AP) — Some car owners in central Pennsylvania are angry after finding political stickers stuck to their cars on Election Day.

The York Daily Record/Sunday News reported today that West York resident Todd Lippy found an adhesive sticker promoting the regionalization of the local police department stuck to the driver’s side of his windshield.

Lippy blames it on Tim Berkheimer, a borough council candidate and regionalization supporter whose name was among those on the sticker.

Berkheimer says his campaign has received numerous complaints, but denies any involvement. He claims political enemies are using the stickers to turn voters against him.

Lippy complained to county elections officials, but finally gave up. He went home and used a hair dryer to soften the glue and a razor blade to scrape off the sticker.
