Youngstown school board hires full-time treasurer

YOUNGSTOWN — James Reinhard is the full-time city school district treasurer, effective last week.

The school board this afternoon approved a resolution authorizing a contract for Reinhard who’s been working part time since April 15. His full-time contract, effective, Nov. 1, runs through July 31, 2015. He will earn $70,000 annually.

Board members voted 6-1 in favor of the resolution with member Andrea Mahone casting the dissenting vote.

Before his appointment as part-time treasurer, Reinhard, the retired treasurer of Canton City Schools, had been working as the Youngstown Schools Academic Distress Commission-appointed fiscal monitor in the school district. He was appointed to that job in December 2012.
