Man shot in leg on Youngstown’s South Side

YOUNGSTOWN

A man was treated for a bullet wound to the leg following a shooting on a South Side street about 8:10 p.m. Sunday.

Police were called to Humbolt Avenue for a report of several teens walking around to different houses and demanding to be let in. While there, they were informed of a man who was shot at East Indianola and Hunter avenues.

When they arrived, they met Jason R. Davis, 25, of Youngstown, who said he ran into a group of males and had some words with them before one of them shot him.

The men then ran away north on Hunter Street, reports said. Police searched the area but could find no trace of the men.
