Film looks at positives in Warren

Staff report

WARREN

The premiere of the documentary film “Warren: The Re-Telling” will be Thursday at the Hippodrome, 150 High St., downtown. Admission is free.

The film shines a spotlight on the positive things happening in the city and is meant to combat the negative perception among many people.

Thursday’s event will begin with a show of works by local artists. The 52-minute film will start at 8 p.m.

“Warren: The Re-Telling” was made by Tom Ross, owner of Clear Choice Creative, a Warren marketing agency.

Ross, owner of the Lime Tree sandwich shop, downtown, said he interviewed dozens of people, including business owners, politicians, nonprofit organization leaders and residents. “Everyone wanted to be part of it,” he said.

“Warren: The Re-Telling” has been donated to the city for use as an economic development tool.
