The First National Bank of Pennsylvania has promoted Eve Christopher and Janice Thompson to the positions of assistant vice president. Christopher, previously a senior mortgage specialists, has more than 30 years of industry experience and joined the bank in 2005. Thompson, previously a mortgage originator, has more than 20 years of industry experience. The bank said the promotions would help enhance its mortgage services.
Cortland Banks has hired John D. Yurchison as vice president of commercial banking. He has more than 27 years of banking experience and has been recognized for organizing and managing complex commercial and industrial investment real- estate relationships. Yurchison, a graduate of Youngstown State University, was most recently vice president of commercial lending at First Place Bank.

Jim Marsh, founder and president of J.P. Marsh and Co., CPAs and Business Consultants, has been awarded the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation from the American Institute of CPAs and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
