A Holiday Open House should put shoppers in a festive mood when it features the Shop in the Gardens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and next Sunday at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

Shoppers will receive a 20 percent discount on all Thanksgiving and Christmas items from the store’s extensive collection of eclectic gifts that come in a wide range of prices.

The shop will display elegant holiday trees, creating the mood to showcase its offerings of home decor, seasonable tabletop decorations, unique jewelry, handbags, scarves, hats and garden items. Mill Creek MetroParks 2014 calendar and holiday cards with photos by local photographer Scott Lanz will be available. “The Magical Tale of Santa Dust,” a children’s book, also will be for sale.

Members may attend a cocktail party from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and receive a 20 percent discount on everything. Wine and treats will be offered with a background of holiday music. Gift-wrapping will be available during the party.

During this month, a special raffle will take place. Tickets cost $5 each or three for $10. The drawing will be Dec. 6, and participants can stop in beforehand to see what they could win.

Purchases made in the shop help support the gardens and Mill Creek MetroParks.
