West Virginia doctor convicted in battery of patient

A Roane County physician has been convicted of putting his tongue in the mouth of a 77-year-old male patient who then bit off part of the doctor’s tongue.

West Virginia State Police says Dr. Kenneth Seen of Spencer was found guilty of sexually motivated battery Thursday in Roane County Circuit Court.

According to a criminal complaint, Seen accused the patient of grabbing his tongue and biting it last year, although the man had been immobilized and confined to a bed at Roane General Hospital. State police Sgt. F.L. Hammack in Spencer says the patient was unable to pick up anything.
