Orders for Smart Choice Food begin today

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., is accepting orders for Smart Choice Food with cash or money order from 4 to 5 p.m. today.

Cash, money order or the Ohio Direction card will be accepted from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 11. Orders also will be taken at Niles Community Services from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 12.

Boxes range in price from $22 to $39 and include meat, vegetables, convenience meals, kids box, breakfast box, cake roll box and special Thanksgiving basics box.

A 10-pound chicken nibblers box is available for $15 with the purchase of any other box.

Online specials at www.smartchoicefood.com can be ordered on the website or at the church.

There are no income restrictions or guidelines. Mail-in orders will be accepted with payment of postal or bank money order or certified check to New Hope Church.

Payment and mail-in orders must be received by Friday. To receive a receipt, enclose a self- addressed, stamped envelope.

Online ordering at www.smartchoicefood.com will close at midnight Nov. 13. A 3 percent handling fee will be added to all online orders.

Distribution is from 9 to 10 a.m. Nov. 23. A community breakfast will be served from 9 to 10:30 a.m. that day.
