Scholarship dinner is Friday

The 11th annual Danielle Marie Hodge Scholarship Dinner will be Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 343 Via Mount Carmel.

Proceeds will go to a scholarship fund at Youngstown State University in memory of Hodge, who died in a car accident in December 2002.

In her memory, her parents and family established the fund through the YSU Foundation to benefit students who attend the university. Several scholarships have been given since its inception, and the endowment has reached more than $120,000.

The scholarship committee awarded six scholarships totaling $5,000 this school year.

Tickets are $35 per person for adults and $12 per person for children age 6-12. A cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7. There will be auctions and entertainment by Music Man. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 330-793-4480.
