Police: Ohio man sought in ex-girlfriend's death surrenders
FAIRFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in southwest Ohio say a man sought after his former girlfriend was shot to death has turned surrendered.
Police in the north Cincinnati suburb of Fairfield say 28-year-old Nicholas Delaney came to the police department this afternoon accompanied by an attorney. Fairfield police spokesman Doug Day says he will be booked into jail on a murder warrant.
Fairfield police had said earlier that Delaney’s yellow Ford Mustang had been spotted in Cincinnati and was towed to Fairfield for evidence processing.
Police say 24-year-old Samantha Decker died at her home from multiple gunshot wounds early Thursday. They received a call of gunshots at an apartment complex just before 3 a.m.
Police say Delaney has a court appearance scheduled Tuesday.
