Howland police investigate death of 7-year-old
HOWLAND
Howland police and other agencies are investigating the death of a 7-year-old High Street boy early today.
Police Chief Paul Monroe said police are not calling the death homicide or accidental until further investigation. They also are not releasing the child’s name.
His parents are Corey Floyd and Pamela McIntosh, who also have six other children ages 2 to 17.
Police were called to 8454 High St. at 5:39 a.m. and found the boy unresponsive in the hallway. He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Health Center.
The police chief said police had been called to the home in the past for “some issues with the children.” He declined to elaborate.
Family remembers removed the other six children shortly after police arrived.
Police obtained a search warrant so they could return this afternoon to continue the investigation.
Also involved are Trumbull County Children Services and the county Childrens Investigative Unit.
