Hodge Scholarship Dinner is Nov. 8

YOUNGSTOWN

The 11th annual Danielle Marie Hodge Scholarship Dinner is Nov. 8 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 343 Via Mt. Carmel.

Proceeds will go to a scholarship fund at Youngstown State University in memory of Hodge, who died in a car accident in December 2002. In her memory, her parents and family established the fund, through the YSU Foundation, to benefit students who attend the university. Several scholarships have been given since its inception, and the endowment has reached more than $120,000.

The scholarship committee awarded six scholarships, totaling $5,000, this school year.

Tickets are $35 per person for adults and $12 per person for children ages 6-12. The cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. There will be Chinese and silent auctions, and entertainment by Music Man. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 330-793-4480.
