First Energy links with Poland Township

The Poland Township Board of Trustees announced that they have added a link to its website, making it easier for residents of Poland to have their street lights repaired.

If you have ever tried to contact First Energy with a problem, you sometimes may find yourself in a automated phone maze. With the newly established link to First Energy from the Poland Township website you may find that task to be a bit easier when it comes to having the light on your street repaired.

Poland Township Trustee Bob Lidle worked with First Energy Area Representative David Turner to make this happen after being contacted to get a light repaired.

“I received a call from a resident on Saginaw Drive and he told me of this problem getting through to First Energy to get his light fixed. Encountering his dilemma on my own, I contacted Mr. Turner to see what could be done. He suggested the link and now our residents can have this done quickly and without frustration.”

To have a street light that may be in need of repair you can do so easily by visiting the Poland Township website, at www.polandtownship.org and clicking on the First Energy icon. That link will take you to their website which you can put the address of the light in need of repair and a crew will usually be out within a few days to fix the problem.

Lidle added that the Trustees are contacting the other utilities to see if a link to their websites may be available for the residents to contact with any problems encountered with those services and then add them to the Poland Township website.
